(Page 1)3. Hi, I'm not responding to your request, but would love to talk with you about two projects that I think could help AOL big. One is a highly interactive local-local site that would be way beyond AOL Local. It would be based on my proposal to the Knight Foundation that made it up to but not beyond the final cut. You can check with Robert Niles (Online Journalism Review) or Peter Krasilovsky (Kelsey), who were on my advisory committee about its promise. Second is a senior site that goes way beyond Third Age or AARP to capture the millions of boomers who are are 50+. I was at AOL the late 1990s-early 2000s. I ran news on Digital City/AOL Local. I've written extensively for Online Journalism Review about hyperlocal grassroots journalism, the last unexplored frontier of the Internet, which AOL needs to plant its flag on. I'm now happily employed as senior web editor at the World Bank (worldbank.org), but my heart and soul are in local-local and a senior site. I think I could contribute to the renaissance of AOL that you're helping to lead. May I come and make a presentation to you and your folks?

P.S. I've pitched AOL in the past, but in all the turmoil, never got anywhere. I think it's time now.

Just because San Jose can't have all the fun. A small web 2.0 group has formed in Los Angeles. We are looking for interested CEO's that are actually in the web 2.0 world. If you want in - drop me a note.
