Well last week on Monday, I wrote a blog talking about the HTC Touch Pro. I decided that this was going to be the “fruit” for my internet labor and once I had the money it would be mine.
Jump to a week and a day in the future and ta-da, I have the money for the phone. The only reason I have not purchased the phone yet is because the money is still “pending” in PayPal.
For those unfamiliar with PayPal and its affiliation with eBay, they put a hold on whatever funds you receive until they can verify shipment. It’s a security measure that can be annoying at times but I am glad that it’s there.
But what I noticed from my profits this month is that when I have a short attainable goal, I work much harder.
When the month started out, I was doing ok but did not have the same energy as I do now. Once I put something in front of me to reach towards, I began to work THAT much harder. Now I have heard about how much setting goals would help pave the way to success but I never took it seriously.
So what I think I am going to do is create a list of weekly and monthly goals in addition to my long term ones. Although this month is pretty much over, I still have a solid week and a half to make a goal for.
I think it would probably be a good thing for me to start out every month with a list of my goals for that month to help keep my eye on the prize. But as far as the rest of the month goes, I would like to pull in another $120 profit. That sounds fair with seeing how much time is left.
I also would like to become a more frequent contributor to my alma mater this website helped me so much. I want to give back by contributing the content.
